Oh the weather outside is frightful, but kissing is so delightful. And since we've no place to go, let 'em flow, let 'em flow, let 'em flow! Kisses that is.

This meme's as simple as it comes. There's mistletoe. It might be magical and making kisses happen where they shouldn't, aspirational and encouraging kisses to happen where they wouldn't, inspirational and suggesting kisses where they haven't but maybe should, or just plain existential and making excuses for kisses that already do.

How do?

1. Comment with your characters under the mistletoe. Be as descriptive or generic as you like.
2. Include any limitations (like sex or age of partner, or type of kiss).
3. Tag other characters with your characters.
4. Prosper!

Kitty doesn't celebrate Christmas, but she's happy to celebrate kissing. She isn't exactly hanging out under the mistletoe, but she's close enough that you'd be more than excused for thinking she's looking for a kiss.

Whatever he wanted to say came first, and the rest of his body followed. "I had a thought." He began, gesturing at his partner in construction. "About the specs. Nothing of substance just-- how damn nice it is not having to finesse all the little contract details. You know?"

Illyana wasn't exactly sure of the moment when, nor precisely how it had happened. She hadn't had so much bourbon-nog that this missed detail would seem to be a clumsy mistake on her part, and so attributed it to the particular brand of Shenanigan Magic for which this place was renowned.

"Kitty," she said as much to announce their sudden proximity as in greeting.

Magic mistletoe reminded Lara a little of how she and Kitty had discovered they enjoyed kissing each other. That had been magical Valentine’s something, but it was still similar enough that even if Kitty wasn’t trapped Lara was happy to step in. Directly into Kitty’s personal space, and slide an arm around her. “Hey, K.”

Sam spots the mistletoe the first time it appears over his head and moves away. By the third time it happens, he gets that it's stalking him. Instead of trying to outrun it, he's researching banishment spells. Under the mistletoe.

Vax doesn't think anything much of it when he first sees Regina standing there. She's enjoying the holiday decor, is all, taking it in. But he eventually notices that she's just... Standing there, with her drink, looking perturbed and sometimes shifting restlessly in place.

So he comes on over and looks between her and the sprig above and articulates: "Ummm... Are you alright, Regina?"

Steve felt that the Christmases he spent after his time under the ice weren't... well, they didn't mean as much as his Christmases before the war. Or even during the war. One of the biggest changes was the lack of his best friend taking him out and celebrating the holiday with him.

Now things were different. Now they had each other again. In a very different and wonderful way.

He approached Bucky, distracted by the decorations up all over the place. It was almost overwhelming.

Allison is more focused on other things than the sprig of mistletoe she happened under. She's surveying the room, evaluating the people that have become the population of this new community she's been forced into--and useless as it is, she's checking all the exits.

She's also doing a healthy enough amount of brooding that you can absolutely catch her off guard with a kiss. Attacks, she's ready for, but a kiss? She'll never see it coming boy kiss and girl kiss welcome.

Stephanie had explained the poison-twig-brings-smooches tradition to Vax'ildan, and demonstrated how it worked very nicely. Those were whose kisses he wanted, by and large, so he definitely wasn't planning on positioning himself under the smooch-plant growing festively above. But magic is sneakier than even a rogue, and wouldn't you know it, the thin dark half-elf happened to find himself standing under it without even realizing it had happened.

It was undoubtedly either the Inn's idea of a joke, or a complete certainty that no one would dare that put Illyana Rasputin under the mistletoe. Regardless, the severe blonde sorceress in her holiday Grumpy Cat sweatshirt and red denim strapped into tall black boots sipped from her cup of eggnog, made a vastly disapproving face, and then poured a very generous splash of additional bourbon into the mug.

See, Kitty? She was being 'festive.'

He was usually too observant to not realize there was mistletoe - but he had a decent amount of bourbon in his own eggnog and that was his story if anyone asked how he ended up standing next to her.

"Top me up?" He lifted and offered his mug to her, if there might have been some very british innuendo in the words he wasn't aware of it. Mostly.

Mistletoe was a hilarious tradition that gave Steph even more excuses than usual to kiss cute boys in public. This was a thing she approved of, so she didn't make any effort to keep out of the way of the Inn's diabolical traps and soon discovered that she'd fallen into one.

The one in the bar was just annoying. He'd been hoping to get to the shop to find Vex again but had been caught short. He wondered how forgiving Vex would be.

"Ohhhhh, hey, Freddy!" There was a distinct tone of play in Vax's words as he came around to where he'd spotted Percy standing still and awkward for a bit. Once he'd confirmed the dangle of green growth with berries sprung from overhead, he knew exactly what it was about. And was possibly inspired by Stephanie's coyness earlier to enjoy this rare opportunity. "What are you up to today? Just standing around in the bar not going anywhere, is that your plan?"

Mistletoe wasn’t supposed to be magical in itself, and yet the sprig hanging above Loki clearly was. And it was annoying. For a hemiparasitic symbol of love and friendship, it was a spiteful little thing.

She didn't think it was spite, but he wasn't the only one who seemed to think (or feel) that it was ill meant rather than in a festive spirit.

"Will it leave if we find a suitable partner for you?" She sort of appeared at his elbow, popped up on her toes and poked the mistletoe. If Kaylee was willing to kiss her brother, someone would be willing to kiss Loki, he was far less objectionable than Simon by her reckoning.

Xavin had been lucky enough that when the mistletoe trapped her, she was at her coffee bar. She spent a lot of time there anyway, so anyone could be forgiven for not realizing she was trapped, at least until they realized that she couldn’t get to the mini-friedge with its supplies of milk and whipped cream.
