As the year draws to an end, the days start to get longer, and colder weather keeps more people indoors many cultures celebrate with giving gifts in one way or another. Here at the Madonna Inn, several such holidays will be observed, and the more the merrier, right? Tag in with your characters and tell us any or all the following:

* What holiday(s) do you celebrate?

* What's on your wishlist? (things available in game will be most helpful, but 'dream big', 'if only' things work too)

* Do you have goods or services to offer that might be giftable?

Then see what other people are commenting with. See something on a wishlist you could provide? Hit reply and let us know. Somebody might want to talk to you about the thing. Have questions about what someone asked for, so you can give them exactly what they want? Comment and ask them. This is a great way to find threads with people you might not thread with otherwise, or get people talking who wouldn't necessarily.

* I celebrated Winters Crest on the solstice. (player note: not that I RPed anything. oops?) In Tal'Dorei, that would include lots of food, a festival type atmosphere, and often, gifts.

* I like... Gold. And gems. Jewelry, which is separate from gold and gems, because it's decorative. Pretty (maternity) clothes. Pretty feathers, either decorative or for fletching. Clever inventions by Percy. Ways to fly. My brother's Boots of Haste.

Trinket likes treats. Salmon is his very favorite.

* ~~Fresh game such as venison/rabbit, but there are better cooks to do something with it.~~ (Vex is not doing much hunting these days) Arrows. 1 hour of therapy wildlife. Also available for shopping/fashion advice in the boutique.

Trinket gives excellent massages.

Corbie is willing and able to alter any clothes for maternity needs.

* I celebrate Christmas in a secular way, but growing up there were also years where my family celebrated Yule, Festivus, and I couldn't even tell you what else. It depended what Mom was into at the time.

* More instruments are never a bad thing. Or picks and strings for my guitars. Mood altering substances. I'm a man of simple pleasures.

* Only thing I could offer is music. Maybe some basic carpentry/woodworking, but nothing fancy – that's more my dad's thing.

* At home, I usually went to Mass with my cousin. And then we'd exchange gifts. When I was younger, we'd always have a Reveillon feast, but with just the two of us there wasn't much reason to.

* I don't need anything, really, ~~and I don't think there's anyone here who would want to give me anything~~ (hey, look! she's made progress in the past year), so it doesn't matter (well, a little progress).

* Sketches or paintings, I usually work in watercolor. I could even do art of loved ones who aren't here, if I read the cards right. Or I could cook something special? My marshmallows are usually a big hit.

* The biggest holiday I grew up celebrating is in the autumn, and it wasn't so much about gifts. Hocuses (wizards), some of 'em, care about the solstices and stuff, but...

* I don't need nothin'. [grumbles because the mun makes him answer more than that] I like maps. And stories. Books ain't the same. A story ain't real unless you hear it.

* But I ain't got nothing to trade neither. Things I'm good at, they ain't exactly things you wanna give as gifts... or nice.

* Good ol' Christmas. Secular, unless you consider consumerism a religion.

* Peace and goodwill towards mankind. Barring that, I'll take a rock album. I've cycled through every cassette and something new to scratch the itch would be just what the doc ordered. Hendrix? I'd also take the musically inclined doing covers. I once heard an acoustic indie pop cover of Black Sabbath. It was delightful. (Anything related to the arts honestly. He's a techie type but he's got some homesickness for the arts going on)

* Name something, chances are I can make it. Get a little weird. I'm a renaissance man with too much free time. (Funny requests that will humble him are welcome :))

Coby showed up with a wide variety of music, including rock, on his laptop and an external drive. If someone wanted to give Tony music, Coby as one of the musicians around the inn, might be a good person for them to ask. I'm sure Tony has more advanced ways to store music than on a blank cassette, for anything they wanted to copy.

(Not wanting to speak for other players, but for additional possibilities: Caroline received a laptop of karaoke music, and Curnen inherited the iPod Scanlan picked up and filled with music in Europe.)

Tony would be VERY interested in his personal stash! We should do that sometime when the holiday crazies die down :)

* Asgard had its festivals and traditions but I've not celebrated those in an age. Sakaar had "holidays" that revolved around the ruler. No thanks.

* I lack the means for flight. I'd like to remedy that. I'm also fond of hunting and riding, more partners to engage in both with would be welcome.

* I'm happy to give away the perfumes and such my room keeps spawning. I've also stockpiled dried meat from my hunts. Fresher game is on the table. Practicing the art of massage and I'm getting quite good.

I didn't realize Val was learning massage. Mildmay has also been doing that (it was one of my long term goals for him from when I apped), and I definitely need to get him out and meeting more people.

After the holiday crazies are over (for the players, especially), would you be interested in doing a thread that gets at this?

I celebrate Christmas. Just a good Christian boy from Brooklyn, once upon a time.

I don't really need anything. I like books. I wish I had more blank notebooks. Mine are getting full. I also wish I could find a way to give something nice to Steve for Christmas. I know what I want, but I don't know how to get it for him. Before, I'd just buy it. Can't really do that here. Maybe some new clothes would be good. The ones I have are getting pretty worn from wear and tear.

I know a lot about guns. Weapons. Hunting. Survivor skills. I could probably make some knives. Haven't done it in a while. Usually all my weapons were provided to me. I can fish. I can draw, but not as well as Stevie. I can cook. I used to do a lot of the cooking when Steve was smaller. I have first aid skills, mostly because I had to stitch myself up.

Belatedly, if anyone asked, Lillith can make magical artifacts. If it's on her spell list, she can probably enchant an object with it.

Dyson: Doesn't really celebrate anything specific, but you know.. it's Christmas.

Needs are few, he likes good beer. Anyone who can do tattoos he wants to add some things to his.

He can provide game meat/sausage, hides/leather (tanned or not), and probably basic leather work like pants and belts.
