State of the Characters + Who Should Thread
Hi all! So I know that as a teacher, I have just come out of a fog of "So, September. What?" And while reasons are not the same across the board, I know I'm not the only person in a state of "Wait what" about how things are currently going in the game.
So! Let's help each other get caught up.
This isn't going to be some big, formal questionnaire. I just want us to use this space for--
1. Telling us what your characters are up to. Say as much or as little as you want about how your characters are doing and/or what you want them to be doing in future.
2. Asking for threads. Is there a character or group you're interested in making ties with, but you haven't reached out yet? Toss it out there.
3. Suggesting threads to others. Often times, we don't see the full potential for our own characters and it takes another person's perspective to see comedy and drama gold.
You can do one big comment for all your characters or separate comments for each, whichever works best for you.
Go forth and reconnect!

Emma
- Inktober! Emma is making at least one ink drawing a day this month. Some she may hang up in the kitchen or the door to their suite, others she may put in the magic journals (I have no artistic ability and will probably not go searching for others' art that could stand in for hers, so don't expect as players to actually see much/any of her drawings) She posted about Inktober, and will continue to encourage others to participate.
- Cooking. If it's not chicken, and you didn't cook it yourself, there's a good chance Emma cooked it. Prepared foods are available for reheating when she's not in the kitchen. If there are specific dishes you're interested in, talk to her, and she'll do her best
- Worrying about Jag, and to a lesser extent Sunny. Good thing about worrying, it helps drown out her own feelings for awhile. But I think the closer we get to her anniversary at the inn, the harder that's going to be.
- (ETA, because I forgot) Training either in the gym or out in the desert, with her projections, and/or self-defense/combat (unarmed, sword, staff, shorter clubs mostly)
Things I want to do with her:
- Inktober stuff
- she wants to make eclairs/other choux pastries (idk, the idea hit me the other day)
- horseback riding/more time around the stables
Re: Emma
Liz has been trying to pick up cooking. She's mastered New York pizza and that's about it. lol She'd love some help, especially with some Russian dishes fro Yana
Re: Emma
For the eclairs, I/Emma was thinking more like a slow time in the kitchen and she's in the mood for something sweet, so she cooks up a batch for herself and her friends. She spends most of her time cooking for the inn, so something more personal, less in bulk for the bakery. If that makes sense.
Liz could ask Emma to teach her to cook. She'd probably get a more chilly reception between the large amounts of secondhand embarrassment Emma usually feels around Liz and the incident with Jag that Emma is not over. On the other hand, she probably wouldn't be directly rude without provocation, so as long as it didn't interfere with Emma needing to cook for people at meals and stuff, she would probably be wiling to teach some.
Re: Emma
Sure that's fair.
Liz would mostly want to observe and ask questions rather than a lesson-lesson. Sort of like auditing a class rather than being in a class.
ETA
So more threads with male characters she doesn't know well. Preferably not in the kitchens, because she's more confident there than most areas in the inn. Maybe sparring? Or at the bar? Or somewhere she's going to feel (rightly or wrongly) that she's in the way or an imposition of some kind? Or where she needs to ask him for a favor?

Re: ETA
Oh, Vax :(
Re: Emma
Lillith for inktober.
Sam for dudes.
Obviously some of this best handled in journals or handwaving, since I'm slower than dirt right now.
