State of the Characters + Who Should Thread

Hi all! So I know that as a teacher, I have just come out of a fog of "So, September. What?" And while reasons are not the same across the board, I know I'm not the only person in a state of "Wait what" about how things are currently going in the game.

So! Let's help each other get caught up.

This isn't going to be some big, formal questionnaire. I just want us to use this space for--

1. Telling us what your characters are up to. Say as much or as little as you want about how your characters are doing and/or what you want them to be doing in future.

2. Asking for threads. Is there a character or group you're interested in making ties with, but you haven't reached out yet? Toss it out there.

3. Suggesting threads to others. Often times, we don't see the full potential for our own characters and it takes another person's perspective to see comedy and drama gold.

You can do one big comment for all your characters or separate comments for each, whichever works best for you.

Definitely Sam will want to "chat" about Mom's new *koff* hobby.

And if Mary is banging her other bestie, Kitty will need words.

Regina doesn't work in the bakery, but she could occasionally. It would be a thing for her to do.

A "monster" could try to teach her to sketch, if Lillith appeals.

*note, I know I am slower than dirt. Journals in some places, handwaves in others?

Maybe we can combine Kitty and the obstacle course with other Halloween things. Let's chat! Plus, if she wants to talk to Kitty (journals maybe?) about the Brad thing, we could do that.

Kitty could help with "what do you want to be when you grow up?" since she's had to do that herself, although it didn't actually work out. Maybe a journal thing? B could just "hey, Kitty, did you ever want to be anything but an X-man?" in a private journal or something? Or, maybe call her, room-to-room?

Maybe we could do a private journal thread of Lillith and Emma exchanging sketches a couple of times during Inktober or creating a challenge for the day and comparing sketches? It'd be a good distraction for Lillith. Maybe even she wasn't doing it before K & Z left because there would be babies any second, and Emma proposes it as a distraction if she would?

Kitty and Alec haven't talked in awhile. My fault. Maybe a thing with them about Clarice during the couch times or couch-->run time? She probably can't keep up with him b/c she's not enhanced for speed, but she's fit and can run rather than jog and possibly exchange occasional words or make words after.

Definitely we need to do a lab thing with the nerds. Maybe some quick journal threads to establish they've been working on it?

Also, if he would hit on Regina while drinking, that would be totally hilarious. She will flirt with him and then get up and walk away, lolz.

Any time you want to flip him out with the pretty albino demon-looking girl, that could be a thing too.

Quick journal threads sounds good to me! Down for that anytime. That and his dance thread with Kitty :D

Tony compulsively flirts with most people, not sure he's ever had someone just up and walk away in the middle of it lol. Usually he's the one to do it when he gets distracted. I'm down for him to meet anyone. Since he has a database of all the faces at the inn but hasn't properly talked to everyone, I'm sure he'd be down for that as well.

Sam, obviously, when they know Mom is getting it on. Maybe in journal texts b/c that would make it funnier and faster?

And, hm. Lillith can actually turn him into a jackass. They haven't threaded, although he's probably seen her demon-looking by now. If you can think of a way to do something with that, I'm down for it.

Kitty can do boxing and sciencing. And considering just how smart and pretty she is, she'd probably make him miss Carter a lot.

Kitty because if she's working in the cafe at all, they'd know each other. And Kitty is also a good one to help with maintenance.

Possibly Lillith because she's also different but in a totally different way.

+ if he's gardening, he's gonna run into Regina. She magics the fuck out of the gardens and the orchards are hers. If you want positive CR for him, she would be happy to teach him about plants and she definitely needs help with heavy tasks now that Piotr is gone. If you want negative CR, catching her in a bad moment might remind him of Hel.

+ MOAR Lillith and Thor and them finally meeting. Also, she can definitely tell him stories about short dwarves, or show him art with a short dwarf in it so he can ask.

+ Sam might want to try to talk to him about Loki and Bo and whether Thor can help keep Loki from crossing lines?

+ maybe some journal CR for Thor and Kitty establishing that they've been doing some sparring or what have you?

Peter
+ Kitty was very impressed with him during the fight and probably told him he handled himself well. She's probably checking in with him pretty regularly about Annie. Idk if there's anything we can build off that but maybe some quick journal threads?

+ I feel like maybe Sam Winchester would be interesting here because he just has zero expectations of Peter at all?

Hurley
+ Lillith seems obvious since they're both close with Xavin. If the pizza thing happens, she'll be happy to eat some.

+ Sam might be interesting because of the ghost thing, too.

As slow as fuck as I am, I always love threading with you. So, preface this by saying anything you want to do, I'm down for it. But!

Tyrone
+ Mutants, obviously, so Kitty. Plus she's very strong on developing and controlling powers, so there's that. And she's one of the few who knows Laynia who also had Darkforce powers. They were training together before Laynia disappeared.
+ Sam because big white dudes who try real hard not to be privileged af and have had their own run-ins with cops might be interesting.
+ Regina because Latina lady with lots of mom feels might be kind of a good connection for both of them.
+ Lillith eventually because Sunny is her bestie plus, albino demon-looking lady is just funny.

Annie
+ More stuff with her and Kitty, I think.
+ Some random thing where she needs actual maternal/paternal adulting and randomly hugging Regina or Sam W. would be hysterical to me, just saying.

Brad
+ Kitty over the Liz thing might be good. Or if he needs his own friend like adult sort of people, Lillith and Sam are good that way.
+ Sam needs stuff to keep him engaged that isn't Bo and Molly, too, so, that's probably a good fit. Sam's the most writer-y of my current pups, so that also could work.

Maria
+ Obviously needs to meet/talk to Kitty, but Kitty has connections to so many of yours, I'd love to try to build something a little less obvious. Thoughts?

+ As Umi mentioned, Kitty dances. She's a ballerina/contemporary dancer/dances for fun. A dance-off over some stupid X-Men v. Guardians thing would be awesome. Also, I'd LOVE for them to find out that they get married in some universe and that Kitty takes over the Guardians. >.> But again, the Kitty problem!
+ Him and Regina were pretty fun. I'd love to follow up with that somehow?
