State of the Characters + Who Should Thread

Hi all! So I know that as a teacher, I have just come out of a fog of "So, September. What?" And while reasons are not the same across the board, I know I'm not the only person in a state of "Wait what" about how things are currently going in the game.

So! Let's help each other get caught up.

This isn't going to be some big, formal questionnaire. I just want us to use this space for--

1. Telling us what your characters are up to. Say as much or as little as you want about how your characters are doing and/or what you want them to be doing in future.

2. Asking for threads. Is there a character or group you're interested in making ties with, but you haven't reached out yet? Toss it out there.

3. Suggesting threads to others. Often times, we don't see the full potential for our own characters and it takes another person's perspective to see comedy and drama gold.

You can do one big comment for all your characters or separate comments for each, whichever works best for you.

Right. We really need to do something with Sam and Dyson's friendship, especially since Kash is gone.

Poker seems good? Also chess. Sam probably doesn't know how to play chess, but he'd be fabulous at it. Maybe Dyson could teach him.

Hm. Maybe they could organize an actual poker tournament.

As we've said, he and Kitty need more threads. Possibly if MeL and I do a thing for Piotr that is an actual post, he can stop by and chat with them together/individually for a bit. Definitely time for Kitty to be preparing a shovel speech.

And Sam probably has a very eloquent "if you hurt my mother, I will demolish you" speech prepared that will end up being "I like you. Just sock on the door, man, seriously."

I wouldn't mind Sam getting pulled in multiple directions here. It might not be a bad idea, especially if he's going to have to let Bo sleep with Loki. River can get a headful of his being angry about that and pretending to be stoic about it?

In other universes, Regina and Steve have gotten along surprisingly well. Now that Piotr is gone, she definitely will need help with strength tasks dealing with the garden and orchards. Something for him to do?

Vex and Lillith always seems like a good idea and never quite turns into anything. With Zahra gone, and a nursery in progress (which I should do something with, maybe I'll combine with Zahra being gone), maybe we can find a stronger connection for them?

Maybe something with Regina, if I can figure out how to make that more than "so your twin is one of my closest friends"?

I will ponder ideas for Regina too. Vex says she has not been all up in Vax's business nearly enough.

At some point a check-in with Lillith. Possibly an awkward attempt by Loki at condolences when I post Kash and Zahra gone tomorrow? Considering her "aim higher" that might be interesting if he'd go for it.

Sam and Loki over the Bo issue, if Bo is going to start sleeping with Loki to feed while we work on the Dawning, that should happen. Somehow.

I could see Lillith having some feels about Vex wanting Zahra's clothes. On the one hand, obviously. On the other, if I give them up she's actually gone. It might, actually, provoke a genuine emotional response from Lillith when she's usually so incredibly guarded.

I need to stick Regina out there more in general, so maybe if I come up with some stuff for her, we'll hit on something.

Kitty seems obvious, but I'm tempted to throw Sam at him, since he's both intelligent enough to be interesting to John and normal enough not to be threatening.

Any time you want to freak him out, I can throw the demon-looking albino at him. And Regina's good for confounding expectations of what women (especially Latina-looking women) ought to be doing.
