Holds for current players are here. Current cast list is here. If you're a new player and you'd like to place a 2-week reserve, you can do so here.
Here, have a few helpful scenarios for test-driving. Feel free to ignore them and make your own.
I.
Wherever you were, you aren't any longer. You took a turn, a step, blinked and you're somewhere else entirely. A long dusty road leads from nowhere to an oasis (or a nightmare, depending on your taste) of pink and bright light in the midst of the scrub desert and there's nothing and no one else in sight. If you linger long enough on the road, one of the Inn's residents will find you, but you feel noticeably drawn to come inside.
The pink and gold lobby looks like a bunny puked Easter everywhere, and the guy at the reservation desk looks a sort of silly putty shade of pinkish grey. He knows you by name and has a room reserved for you, but other than offering you fresh towels, that's all he has to say. Chances are, one of the residents will intercept you before you talk to Darryl the shade. They'll give you a guest basket with toiletries and chocolates and whatever else Caroline thinks a newcomer needs, and explain (nicely) that you're stuck here, but hey, it's not so bad. It's pretty safe, anyway. At least... so far.
II.
The red, gold and gaudy pink of the Copper Cafe overflows with residents. It's morning, the one and only time nearly everyone finds themselves in the same space for a short window before going about their day. The scent of fresh coffee laces the air, mingling with the buttery aroma of fresh baked pastry. The shade who serves as a cook, Kahni, awaits any orders that include chicken (chicken, not eggs), and Carlos has staffed one of the residents who can cook to make anything else you'd like. Kitty's pouring drinks -- no reason not to drink bloody maries or mimosas on your permanent holiday. Grab a spot at the counter or take a seat at an empty table, now that you're a resident too, there's no better way to start your day.
III. Network
[ooc: Our network is text-based and magic journal. No computers yet. You see this suspiciously well-painted image appear in your network-journal. Uh-oh. Someone taught Lillith to meme.]

Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"More aliens." Tony said. He didn't know the answer, but he did. "You know we've got aliens here? The friendly kind that offer people caffeine?" He eyed the sloping horizon. They had a walk yet before they reached the site Tony had pre-designated.
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"Wouldn't surprise me. We have friendly aliens back home too, we just didn't advertise them." As if that sentence should be reassuring or something. Still, the idea that they were alone had been well disregarded by people like him a long time ago. "Though caffeine is a drug, Stark. You should be careful who you accept your drugs from."
Was that a joke? Maybe. It was probably hard to tell from the stern tone of his voice, but he did side-eye Stark for just a moment.
"Are there any others are this campsite of yours, or are most of the denizens here placated by pink and lack of smog?"
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
He kicked a rock out of his way as he continued his march. "Not today. I've got an assistant nowadays for that, actually, but I figured I should give her a day off every now and then." Tony side-eyed Fury back. "You're not nearly as cute, but you'll do."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"I knew I should have worn my other suit this morning." He quipped back at Tony easily. He always enjoyed Stark's sardonic wit.
"You know, I got to hand it to you. You've asked pretty little of what the future has in store. Mostly men in your position might ask a lot more."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
No matter how many times he was assured that time had stopped for his own reality, he had no quantifiable way to be certain. The lingering paranoia that he was trapped away while some havoc was being wrought was a thought so terrible Tony had to actively distance himself from it every time it crept back up.
"But if I had to hear it from anyone, I'd just as soon it'd be you."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"Normally I might tell you to suck it up and move on because we had work to do, but seeing as you're already focused on getting home, I don't particularly feel the need for tough love." And perhaps that was the first time he ever said that particular sentence to someone. Perhaps it was the 'probably dead' that was getting to him.
"Let's just say I had to call in the Calvary before I came here and I sure as hell hope she can help. And you better come back from wherever the hell you ended up."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"Thor's here too. Whatever it was, he was involved. He and I weren't running in the same circles, unfortunately. He said the mastermind is the same one who was behind New York--Thanos."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"He's not wrong." Nick looked out in front of them grimly. "The facts are, as follows. You and Mister Parker, along with Doctor Strange disappeared when an alien space craft came down in the middle of New York. This is according to Banner and a gentleman by the name of Wong." He walked with his hands behind his back like it was some sort of causal stroll in nice weather rather than what it was. "And then Thanos' forces attacked Wakanda. My sources there tell me everyone else - Rogers included - banded together to prevent Thanos from gaining the upper hand. It appears the man was after Vision. Not sure when Thor is from, but before I came here I watched Hill dissipate into thin air and I was doing the same thing as I sent for help. Best I can guess, not everyone was affected, but I sure as hell was."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
There was a light at the end of the tunnel. Somewhere.
There was a way to come back from this. A tactic waiting to be revealed. There had to be.
"And that's what you know so far."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"For now, anyways. But I have faith in my people back home. If this is some thing where Thanos sent us to different dimensions, then there's a way out. And if I'm dead." He shrugged and deadpanned to Stark, not revealing if he meant the next part or was joking. "Wouldn't be the first time I came back from the dead."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"Unless we're both dead. Hell, maybe we are. Changes nothing. If this is hell, I'll crawl my way out of it."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"That's the spirit. Fuck death." Nick had managed to bring back Coulson, after all. "Now you just got to keep that fire lit under you until you find the right answers."
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
Re: Nick Fury | MCU
"Thats half the fun of being who I am." It was a joke, but he didn't smile or do much of anything to indicate as such.
"Don't worry, Stark. We're in this together now. I'll help you figure out a damn way home."
